Son and Wife picked out fabrics early before he was born. I didn't decide on pattern until day he was born, then made the next day. The site of him brought the inspiration. The fabric followed through into his room in valances. The strong stripe and whimsical circles are true to his personality with the versatility of the paisley is the final boom. The back is oh so cuddly minkie for his every soft baby skin.
These are some of the things I have been able to share and treasure every moment of them.

Sunrise in Florida
Sunrise on the Florida Coast
February 2013 trip to Florida with my husbands parents. We were staying in Orlando as we usually do each year, as they have and enjoy their timeshares. I love the beach so very much, so this year I rented a car and drove to the beach in time to see the sun rise at 6:53 am. It was serene and I spent several hours with God and His beautiful creation. There were a few people down from me fishing and the sounds of the ocean and birds were true songs from God. I got such a rejuvenation from this experience. I need more beach time in my life.
Galveston Beach
Galveston Beach
Great week get away on the beach in Galveston with my bestest friend every in August 2012. Our rental was a block from the beach. Renting the Golf cart was the best thing we did for ourselves. We were able to travel to parts of the beach where there were people and to parts where there was no one but us. We could drive and explore or stop and park if we wanted. We had 15 miles of beach to explore and we did. Right up until we decided to have us a VACA cleanse...(bad mayonnaise for those of you who don't understand)
Palm Tree Painting
Anniversary Painting
I painted this for my husband on our first wedding anniversary. We stayed at a resort in Jamaica and this a photo we saw in several places around the resort. We tried to purchase something with the picture on it, but to no avail. So on our first anniversary, I painted it and it hangs in our bedroom for us to see daily.

A&E Wedding Quilt
A&E Wedding Quilt
I made this for my son and beautiful new bride. They picked out the fabrics and I made it especially for them. The quilting for this one is done in a railroad track stitch. While they do not work for the railroad their father, uncles and grandfather do or have, so it is in his lineage. The label on back reminds them of the wonderful day their union in marriage began.

Bright and Beautiful Sister Quilt
Bright and Beautiful Sister Quilt
I made this for my favorite (I have 5) sister for Christmas 2010. It was my inspiration for getting back into the world of quilting. I hadn't quilted since my children were very small and they are all grown up now... Anyway the I saw the fabrics and they reminded me of Pam then I saw the pattern and knew they had to be put together for her. I added a black furry throw blanket on the back for that oh, so soft cuddle. I hope she loves it as much as I loved making it for her and as much as I love Her!! Because I was new back to the quilting world... I forgot to put a label on it and she wont part with it long enough for me to add one.

The back is a solid piece of the same purple minkie with a label for her full name, birth date and who it is from.

GK Santa Applique Quilt
Santa in Leopard Quilt
This santa quilt is my all time favorite. A great friend of mine made me one like it years ago for Christmas and it is a treasure to me. Christmas 2012 I decided to make a quilt for each of our 4 children and my Princess GK decided she wanted a Santa instead of a tree like the others.
New one made Christmas 2013 for my Beautiful friend Joyce.
Quilt Labels Galore
Labels are a must for every single thing you make. We have some amazing quilts that were made by someone in the family at least 100 years ago and no one knows who made them or exactly when... I beg of you PLEASE make a label even if you use a sharpie and write directly on the quilt.

Forever Cool for Baby
Keeping Baby Cool
Keeping baby bottom COOL in the car seat! They make these for menopause relief. The young and old have more in common than the in between. Just put under baby's bottom to keep it cool for those car rides or extended time in the stroller. They can be found at Walgreens.
Cross Wall
Cross Wall
I have never really had a "thing" that I collected... But then a few years ago my Bible Study group started collecting and building cross walls. So now it is really easy to get a gift for them and for myself. On those places we go and want a souvenirs we try to find a cross. The back of each one is labeled as to where it came from and a date. I love and cherish each and every one of them.
Funky Flowers Applique Quilt
Funky Flowers Quilt
This quilt was inspired by a quilt I saw on Pinterest from My Red Door Designs. I have used the flower that I used on this one on several other quilts in chinelle, this is the first time I have used all cotton for this flower. I made it into a baby blanket (mostly because I want a grand daughter...) and will now make it in a larger format, I really like it.

Quilting Class 101
I was fortunate enough to get to teach a quilting 101 class at Joanne Fabrics. This class was a beginner quilting class. There was an amazing group of women in the class and these are a few of the pillow tops that they made.
Awesome use of colors, each one gives a completely different feel.
